The Rural Network is an online jobs board linking rural Australians with small jobs that need to be done with people from their local communities with the capacity to do the task. Tasks can be paid or voluntary, from farm work through to building and website design, one-off to longer term.Rural communities can suffer two seemingly at-odd problems. Under and unemployment for residents as well as an inability to fil skilled jobs.

People post the job they need doing and the associated pay through the online board. The task is then posted and people can bid to do it.

The Rural Network addresses the employment issue in regional areas by matching people with a ‘need’ (for employment) to those with a ‘have’ (a skill or ability to do a job).
